ORGANICLAD offers organic, sustainable, and hypoallergenic fabric fashions for women, men, babies, and the home. Our shirts and sweaters, socks, bathrobes, sheets and towels are all made from fibers grown and processed without chemicals harmful to the soil, water, growers, processors, or wearers using cotton, bamboo, and hemp.

Although organic or heritage food growing is probably more familiar to most people, “eco-designers” have developed soft and attractive clothes and home fashions. People with skin sensitivities welcome these alternatives to synthetics for their health and comfort. Organiclad products are chic yet classic fashions, good for people and the planet, chosen respecting fair trade and fair labor practices.

One-third of a pound of toxic chemicals gets used in making just one non-organic cotton t-shirt. In contrast, organic cotton fibers are grown to the same standards as organic vegetables, spices, and meats. A finished organic cotton t-shirt is soft and gentle on the skin, as are other shirts, sweaters, robes, sheets, blankets, and towels.

Bamboo cloth feels silky or like cashmere. Bamboo fabric is anti-microbial and thermal regulating, keeping you cooler, drier, warmer, and odor free. Bamboo grows so easily it needs no pesticides or chemicals to thrive. Organiclad offers shirts for men and women and socks (anti-fungal) for adults and babies.

Hemp, associated for centuries with sailors’ rope, is soft yet strong, and does not shrink when knitted into cloth. Hemp fabric is anti-bacterial, odor absorbing, anti-fungal, quick to shed wrinkles, and repels UV rays. Hemp clothes are gorgeous yet practical, great for gardening, golf, boating, walking the beach, and other outside activities. Organiclad offers hemp for women and men in pure hand-loomed shirts and sweaters as well as in mixes with cotton or cotton and bamboo. Note, too, the luxurious hand-loomed shawl/scarves and simple messenger bags.

All Organiclad products are easy (EASY!) to care for, saving energy with cold-water wash (hand or gentle machine) and flat, hanger, sun, or low tumble dry. No need for ironing ever.
